2017 Toyota Yaris – New Safety & Feature Upgrades

The all-new 2017 Toyota Yaris has been enhanced with new safety features and Toyota driver assist technologies. The subcompact three and five-door models includes the suite of  Toyota Safety Sense-C (TSS-C) features as standard equipment and will be the first in the segment to standardize these key safety features.

New Toyota TSS-C technology focuses on three areas of driver assistance: preventing or reducing impact of frontal collisions, helping drivers to stay within their lane, and increasing road safety during night driving. The safety features that address these areas are Toyota’s Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams. Also included are nine airbags and Whiplash Injury-Lessening front-seat structure.

Beyond these new, advanced safety features, the Toyota Yaris offers European styling and remarkably agility for navigating tight turns and small parking spots. A rigid body structure and sport-tuned electric power steering make the Yaris as fun to drive as it is and safe. New Yaris SE models get their own special sport tuning and larger wheels for improved handling. A low coefficient of drag, acoustic glass windshield and sound insulation also help to keep road and wind noise at low levels.

Powered by a smooth and efficient 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 106 hp the new Yaris can be paired with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. At up to 37 mpg highway for manual transmission models, fuel economy is also one of the best features the Yaris brings to the party.

Toyota has added a variety of standard features to the 2017 Yaris, these include; air conditioning, power windows, power door locks and an Entune Audio system with 6.1-inch touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and six speakers. New optional high-tech features include power mirrors, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls, remote keyless entry and a navigation system.
